Freiland Puten Fahrenzhausen GmbH was founded by Dr. Martin Bohn on 5th June 1997. The initial steps consisted of developing a concept for turkey production using alternative methods and stocking the first 1,600 KellyBronze day-old-chicks.
As early as in our first year we started working together with a baby food producer.

Successful launch as a supplier to organic food stores and outlets. |

Freiland Puten Fahrenzhausen GmbH begins exporting its high-quality organic products. |
| 2001 |
Launch of the cooperation with the Mecklenburger Landpute GmbH butchery and production company. |
| 2002 |
Strengthening of in-house logistics capabilities by purchasing a large refrigerated lorry to assure the company’s high quality standards and complement its “holistic concept”. |

Establishment of the first organic chicken farm in response to customer requests for a full complement of organic poultry products. |
| 2005 |
Award of the "Pro-Tier-Förderpreis" for farm animal welfare. |
| 2006 |
Acquisition of interest in an organic feed mill and supply of organic feed to our producers with our own silo tractor-trailers. |
| 2007 |
10th anniversary. A celebration of 10 years of successful work for satisfied customers. This effort was recognized the same year by a total of 10 DLG (Deutsche Landwirtschaftsgesellschaft – German Agricultural Society) gold medals. |

For the first time ever, a Bio-Circle-certified partner is cultivating over 1000 ha (400 acres) of farmland in the vicinity of their own feed mill. |

Freiland Puten Fahrenzhausen GmbH takes the Eichhof farm, its own turkey production facility, into operation. |

Frozen convenience food is added to our wide selection of frozen products. |
